Duane Anderson was appointed President and CEO in April of 2019. Prior to his appointment, Duane previously served as the company’s CFO beginning August of 2015. Duane brings over 20 years of extensive finance and operations leadership experience with manufacturing companies in public, private and start-up organizations. Prior to EFJohnson, Duane was the Corporate Controller for American Pad & Paper LLC and the Controller for Sagus International, Inc. He is a licensed CPA in the State of Texas, has an MBA from Ashland (OH) University and a B.A. in Accounting and Business Administration from Mount Vernon Nazarene University.
Mitch Urbanczyk joined EFJohnson in April of 2017 and is currently the Chief Revenue Officer. Mitch brought over two decades of leadership experience with public safety communications, wireless carriers, and enterprise markets. His introduction to critical communications began with his service in the United State Air Force. Since then, he has taken on various roles with increasing responsibilities in wireless systems engineering, business development, and sales management. Mitch has a passion for learning and holds multiple degrees, including a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in Russian Studies from Southern Illinois University, an MBA in Global Management from the University of Phoenix, and a Master of Science in Telecommunications from Southern Methodist University (SMU).
Karthik Rangarajan joined EFJohnson in March of 2011 and is currently the Senior Vice President of Strategy and Products. He specializes in product management, strategy and leads the R&D teams at EFJohnson. Prior to joining EFJohnson, Karthik was the product management leader at the broadband wireless business unit for Cisco Systems in Richardson, Texas. He also worked with Nortel Networks, where he led national telecommunications software development projects for public safety networks, as well as projects to achieve interoperability within 2G and 3G networks of Tier 1 telecommunications customers. Karthik earned his MBA in strategy and entrepreneurship from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University (SMU), and his Master of science in electrical engineering (MSEE) from Virginia Tech.
Timi Jackson was appointed General Counsel of EF Johnson Technologies, Inc. effective February 2011. Prior to joining EF Johnson Technologies, Inc. as corporate attorney in November 2007, Timi focused her private practice in real estate and foreclosure litigation. Timi received her JD from the University of Miami and is licensed to practice law in Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, New York and Texas.
Stephanie Spears joined EFJohnson in 2015 and is currently the Vice President of Bid Operations, overseeing both the bids & proposals and wireless engineering teams. Before joining EFJohnson, Stephanie honed her proposal and project management skills with experience spanning three industries and two Fortune 100 corporations. Her professional accreditations in Proposal Management and extensive experience in writing, editing, and developing successful bids & proposals have been a true asset to the company. Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Spelman College, a Master of Arts in Writing from DePaul University and a Masters of Business Administration in Change Management & Leadership from DePaul Driehaus College of Business.
Jeff Ecker was appointed Vice President, System Operations in August of 2022. Prior to his appointment, Jeff previously served the company as a Program Manager, successfully managing multiple complex P25 system and telecommunications implementation projects. Throughout his 40-year career, Jeff has been involved with Public Safety, DoD, and fortune 500 companies. He began his career serving in the United States Air Force. Jeff received his MBA, Project Management Certification (CPM), and an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Dallas.
Julie Dillman rejoined EFJohnson in July of 2021 as the VP, Human Resources for EFJohnson. She is a versatile & collaborative Human Resources leader with expertise in delivering proactive & comprehensive Human Resources programs across a multi-state platform. She has experience working with publicly traded, private equity, ownership by international companies, and not-for-profit organizations. Julie is an avid Aggie, earning her Bachelor of Business Administration and Management from Texas A&M University.
Dan Troutman joined EFJohnson in June of 2023 and is currently the Vice President of R&D where he will be leading the development of differentiated radio and system products into the marketplace. Dan has more than 37 years of experience in engineering and has led worldwide organizations within the consumer electronics, biometrics, commercial products, and telecommunications industries. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Miami and an MBA from Florida International University where he studied international business. He is also a Professional Engineer in the state of Florida and holds numerous US Patents.
